Hatchett, still nursing cuts to his face, said he went to Rhymes' office at 84 Broadway, near City Hall, at around 7 p.m. on the day after Christmas with 19 days' worth of unpaid work invoices. He wouldn't say exactly how much Rhymes owes.
The discussion grew heated, and, Hatchett said, Rhymes screamed at him. "I don't know what set him off," Hatchett said.
"I told him, 'I ain't scared of you,' " he said. "That's when his bodyguards grabbed me, and he punched and kicked me."
Rhymes brags about his wealth in his songs - but Hatchett said he's cheap and mean to his help.
Hatchett said he couldn't afford a Christmas gift for his kid. "I didn't speak to my daughter for Christmas. I was embarrassed," he said.
