"It's a really tricky situation. He is my dearest friend. But I'm not saying
it's romantic. We won't know what it is till we're ready. There's a wife and
children involved, I don't want to wreck any marriages. But if a marriage is
already wrecked, that's not my fault."
The Barbadian pop princess Rihanna, as she was introduced on the night, however, failed to impress during a lackluster 45-minute set.
"Come on, T&T, we came all the way from Barbados to do this show," Rihanna pleaded amidst an uninspired groan from the crowd.
One person 50 is definitely going to be working with is Mase. In fact, the
two have already knocked out some songs. While Mase has confused and angered
some fans with his return to his Murda Mase M.O. of harder raps — Mase has
dissed Diddy, Brandy, Fabolous, Loon, the New York Knicks' Quentin Richardson
and even dropped lines like "I'll have hoes back of the church humming your
name" — 50 says when he started putting out new material by the pastor on the
mixtapes he expected some backlash. But 50 also says everyone can calm down —
it's all for the greater good. 50 says that despite his master plan, he still
expects some people to shun Mase when his album drops. Nonetheless, he
anticipates big album sales.
"This album, Rotten Apple is all new material. It's just crazy. Production
from some well-known producers and some I apologize not knowing the names
of, but when the album drops, they'll get their shine. I'd rather break
a big time producer than them break me because that will give people
more sh-- to talk about me not holding my own. I do have Eminem on the
album once again; he produced the first single, "Hands Up." I have Havoc, Timbaland, Ron Browz on production. Those are some of the familiar faces on the album.
Of course I have the crew on it and after my crew gets on it, there's not too much room for anyone else to get on it. I did get Rakim on this album, which was the biggest feature to me. But, I also have Scarface, 8-Ball and Musiq Soulchild. I try to stay away from a whole lot of features because people don't pay $16.99 for an album full of features."
I don't know why people are so gullible to fall for this. Common sense would tell you it would of been all over television if it was true, just like when Lance Bass decided to come out(he already been out in the minds of most). Plus you can go to the Essence website and you see nothing about it, Barbra Stradoff doesn't even exist their. Come on people don't believe everything on the net, especially without a reliable source.Singer Ne-yo Announces He Is Gay Essence Magazine August 23,2006.The newly
famed singer/songwriter has came out of the closet and announced that he is gay.
The multi-platinum recording artist sat down for the October issue of Essence
Magazine last week and announced the shocking news stating, "Yes, I am gay, and I
have always been." After several internet rumors have been circulating around the
internet. He also said, "You now this world we live in is full of judgment, resulting in one of the reasons why it took me so long to come out of the closet." Earlier this month, a man by the name of Derrick John son claimed that he had an intimate relationship with the singer during there teen years in high school. He also said that for months the singer and Def Jam has been trying to pay him to keep quiet over the ordeal. Worrying that it would destroy his image. Ne-yo responds saying, that the relationship did occur and he is no longer ashamed of saying that he was deeply in love. Reciting "That situation was what inspired me to write the song Unfaithful. But no one knew it was actually about myself, and our relationship." He told Essence that he doesn't care anymore, he was tired of living a lie and is ready to come clean. Quoting, "the music industry can either except me for who I am, or desert me." The full interview with the magazine is expected to hit stands mid-October.Barbra Stradoff, Essence Magazine"
MTV recently interviewed the MC:
Link"It's totally a blessing, man," he said late last week in New York. "We're gonna stomp them, man. I think a few people gonna ride with me. Everywhere I go, they're talking about [the album]. It's gonna be crazy. It's another level straight up."Nas, also confirmed that he and the Game have been recording together and are sitting on fire."We got a crazy joint," he said. "I was thinking about just
putting that out as a single. That's how crazy it is." ...
"I want to bring my songs and melodies to hip hop beats, a bit like 'No Diggity' by Blackstreet."I want to work with Pharrell (Williams), Timbaland, Snoop (Dogg), Kanye (West), Eminem and just see what happens. It may be a disaster, it could be fantastic, but you don't know until you try."
Hmm, we will see how this turns out, but we know he is going to sell records no matter what, just do us a favor, no K-Fed on the album.
Honey then came on, you could see the video playing on the big screen with Mase rapping his verse from the song. Mariah made her way to the steps and did a little dance routine. Then another one of those crazy moments happened, unexpectedly Diddy walks on to the stage and everyone again loses it. The man didn't even do anything, he just came out, said his line from the song, did a quick shuffle and left. I guess when you that big you no longer need to drop a verse.(You can see it in the videos I put up).
So Mariah went for another break to change clothes and DJ Clue was playing tracks, he starts playing, "We Gonna Make It," and then Jada and Styles came out performing the song. They got a luke warm response, keep in mind the crowd wasn't really a rap music audience.
Mariah then came out doing a few songs then did a duet to, "Thank God I Found You," and one of my favorites, "Make It Last Forever." Then one of the most emotional parts of the concert happened when she did, "One Sweet Day." Then probably in the most emotional section of the entire show, she explained she was dedicating her next performance to someone who recently died, and then performed, "Hero." The whole crowd was singing along and Mariah was giving it her all. You could look at the faces of the onlookers and tell the song was really making an impact on them.
Mariah then lightened the mood with, "Make it Happen." One of her earlier hits that everyone enjoyed. Then Mariah made a fake exit, saying, "Thank you New York." But of course I knew better and waited for the real finale. Then the crowd went while when she came out doing, "We Belong Together." The Performance was amazing, the crowd singing enjoying the show and you could tell Mariah enjoyed performing. This was the last song for the night, she left of releasing thousands of paper butterflies in the air, leaving the Garden Full of Butterflies. As you can see from the picture it was a beautiful scene.
Overall this was a great show from Mariah. Although the guest appearances were too short and their were minor mishaps, the show was very good. Between songs Mariah would talk to the crowd making the audience feel like she is a regular person. It felt like Mariah was a genuine person and really wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed her show. I advise everyone to see the legend, Mariah Carey in concert before its too late. Hopefully Mimi will return to the Garden, "One Sweet Day".
