How can Whitney compete to a woman called Superhead??? Both have great talent at what they do, Whitney at singing and Karrine Steffans at.... Ms.Steffans and Bobby have been spending a lot of time together and Superhead recently said:"It's a really tricky situation. He is my dearest friend. But I'm not saying
it's romantic. We won't know what it is till we're ready. There's a wife and
children involved, I don't want to wreck any marriages. But if a marriage is
already wrecked, that's not my fault."

So I'm home not doing much and I check the Hot 97 site. They have a contest to win tickets to a Kanye West concert the same night. I'm in shock because I heard absolutely nothing about it. It turns out tickets for it were free but you needed to have an American Express card. Since I don't have one I quickly hit ebay and got tickets for cheap. So doors open 8, so I got there at 6. The people in front of me were on line since 2:45!!! Wow that's getting a bit out of hand, but well they got front row like they wanted. While waiting online Pharrell came out and was mad cool posing for pictures for everybody, he posed for me for a picture but I messed it up, but I still got a shot of him.
So doors opened 8, when we first got in they had DJ AM playing songs for a long time, he was sick with it, as you would expect since he is one of the top DJs in the U.S.
Kanye took forever!!! The show was suppose to start at 9, Kanye didn't get on stage until 10:30. Kanye had an orchestra and two back up singers, it was a nice set, not some bootleg stage for a quick concert. Kanye came out with a big gold chain and started things of with, "Diamonds are Forever." Kanye had a lot of energy and was running around the stage delivering his lyrics with enthusiasm. Kanye kept his energy the whole concert, he followed Diamonds are Forever with, Drug Dealing, Work Out Plan and then Addiction.
Kanye then continued on doing some songs solo. He performed All Falls Down and Gold Digger. Kanye then started playing some beats, he played Drop it Like Its Hot and then Pharrell came out and performed his verse from the song. Female voices screaming could be heard through out the theater.
Pharrell went on to perform, "Can I have it Like That," followed by,"Frontin." Kanye and Pharrell l then did, "Number One." The pair was enjoying themselves,. Pharrell looked into the crowd at a girl and said I'm coming for you LOL(its in the video). Of course she wasn't a black girl but that's a different subject.

Turns out Janet hasn't talked to Justin since the infamous breast bearing accident during the Superbowl halftime in 2004. Source

The Barbadian pop princess Rihanna, as she was introduced on the night, however, failed to impress during a lackluster 45-minute set.
"Come on, T&T, we came all the way from Barbados to do this show," Rihanna pleaded amidst an uninspired groan from the crowd.

One person 50 is definitely going to be working with is Mase. In fact, the
two have already knocked out some songs. While Mase has confused and angered
some fans with his return to his Murda Mase M.O. of harder raps — Mase has
dissed Diddy, Brandy, Fabolous, Loon, the New York Knicks' Quentin Richardson
and even dropped lines like "I'll have hoes back of the church humming your
name" — 50 says when he started putting out new material by the pastor on the
mixtapes he expected some backlash. But 50 also says everyone can calm down —
it's all for the greater good. 50 says that despite his master plan, he still
expects some people to shun Mase when his album drops. Nonetheless, he
anticipates big album sales.
Reggae artist, "Tanya Stephens," is suing rapper, "Lil Kim," for allegedly stealing lyrics from Stephen's, "Mi and Mi God." Tanya Stephens released the song in 1997, while the song in question, "Durty," was released on Lil Kim's latest album, "Naked Truth," in 2005. According to AllHipHop.com, "Stephens believes the lyrics are so similar that she should own the song and receive all past and future royalties."
"This album, Rotten Apple is all new material. It's just crazy. Production
from some well-known producers and some I apologize not knowing the names
of, but when the album drops, they'll get their shine. I'd rather break
a big time producer than them break me because that will give people
more sh-- to talk about me not holding my own. I do have Eminem on the
album once again; he produced the first single, "Hands Up." I have Havoc, Timbaland, Ron Browz on production. Those are some of the familiar faces on the album.
Of course I have the crew on it and after my crew gets on it, there's not too much room for anyone else to get on it. I did get Rakim on this album, which was the biggest feature to me. But, I also have Scarface, 8-Ball and Musiq Soulchild. I try to stay away from a whole lot of features because people don't pay $16.99 for an album full of features."
Seems like people are hell bent or bring down one of R&B's newest stars. First up is this fake Essence article floating around.I don't know why people are so gullible to fall for this. Common sense would tell you it would of been all over television if it was true, just like when Lance Bass decided to come out(he already been out in the minds of most). Plus you can go to the Essence website and you see nothing about it, Barbra Stradoff doesn't even exist their. Come on people don't believe everything on the net, especially without a reliable source.Singer Ne-yo Announces He Is Gay Essence Magazine August 23,2006.The newly
famed singer/songwriter has came out of the closet and announced that he is gay.
The multi-platinum recording artist sat down for the October issue of Essence
Magazine last week and announced the shocking news stating, "Yes, I am gay, and I
have always been." After several internet rumors have been circulating around the
internet. He also said, "You now this world we live in is full of judgment, resulting in one of the reasons why it took me so long to come out of the closet." Earlier this month, a man by the name of Derrick John son claimed that he had an intimate relationship with the singer during there teen years in high school. He also said that for months the singer and Def Jam has been trying to pay him to keep quiet over the ordeal. Worrying that it would destroy his image. Ne-yo responds saying, that the relationship did occur and he is no longer ashamed of saying that he was deeply in love. Reciting "That situation was what inspired me to write the song Unfaithful. But no one knew it was actually about myself, and our relationship." He told Essence that he doesn't care anymore, he was tired of living a lie and is ready to come clean. Quoting, "the music industry can either except me for who I am, or desert me." The full interview with the magazine is expected to hit stands mid-October.Barbra Stradoff, Essence Magazine"
Nas upcoming album, "Hip Hop is Dead," is scheduled to release this November.MTV recently interviewed the MC:
Link"It's totally a blessing, man," he said late last week in New York. "We're gonna stomp them, man. I think a few people gonna ride with me. Everywhere I go, they're talking about [the album]. It's gonna be crazy. It's another level straight up."Nas, also confirmed that he and the Game have been recording together and are sitting on fire."We got a crazy joint," he said. "I was thinking about just
putting that out as a single. That's how crazy it is." ...
Will have more info on the album coming. For now I will give you the link to download, "My Love," featuring T.I.
So I have decided to make a post for everything B'Day related. I will have up all the lyrics when they are available, the latest news and hopefully pictures and video from her concerts at Fashion Rocks and Good Morning America. I'm trying to see if I can get into the B'Day Listening party Monday, I will see. I will actually be attending the MTV Awards so I will give a review of it and try to get some pictures of Beyonce's performance. I decided to put up, "Upgrade You," but that is it, I'm not going to ruin the CD for people that haven't heard it or do anything to hurt sales. Hmm, maybe one more song if I hear a lot of request for one song.

Seems like everyone wants to be doing some Hip Hop songs these days, I thought Kevin Federline was enough, but now this??? Elton John states,"I want to bring my songs and melodies to hip hop beats, a bit like 'No Diggity' by Blackstreet."I want to work with Pharrell (Williams), Timbaland, Snoop (Dogg), Kanye (West), Eminem and just see what happens. It may be a disaster, it could be fantastic, but you don't know until you try."
Hmm, we will see how this turns out, but we know he is going to sell records no matter what, just do us a favor, no K-Fed on the album.
The album has already sold 100,000 records and is projected to sell 200,000 by the time the first week of sales is over. According to AllHipHop.com Diddy states, "The word of mouth on the album is so crazy, with the production from Timbaland, to Scott Storch, to Rodney Jerkins to Brian Cox. It's something out of no where." Danity Kane may debut number 1 this week over Outkast's new album Idlewild. Looks like Making the Band will be finally Making some money.
Mimi made her return to New York in front of a packed crowd in the world famous Madison Square Garden. Mariah had been through tough times the last few years but her career came surging back with the release of, "The Emancipation of Mimi." The album's opening week sales were the highest first week sales of her entire career. It went on to be the highest selling album for 2005 and went six times platinum!!! Mariah is now back on her, "A," game and selling millions of records.

Honey then came on, you could see the video playing on the big screen with Mase rapping his verse from the song. Mariah made her way to the steps and did a little dance routine. Then another one of those crazy moments happened, unexpectedly Diddy walks on to the stage and everyone again loses it. The man didn't even do anything, he just came out, said his line from the song, did a quick shuffle and left. I guess when you that big you no longer need to drop a verse.(You can see it in the videos I put up).
So Mariah went for another break to change clothes and DJ Clue was playing tracks, he starts playing, "We Gonna Make It," and then Jada and Styles came out performing the song. They got a luke warm response, keep in mind the crowd wasn't really a rap music audience.
Mariah then came out doing a few songs then did a duet to, "Thank God I Found You," and one of my favorites, "Make It Last Forever." Then one of the most emotional parts of the concert happened when she did, "One Sweet Day." Then probably in the most emotional section of the entire show, she explained she was dedicating her next performance to someone who recently died, and then performed, "Hero." The whole crowd was singing along and Mariah was giving it her all. You could look at the faces of the onlookers and tell the song was really making an impact on them.
Mariah then lightened the mood with, "Make it Happen." One of her earlier hits that everyone enjoyed. Then Mariah made a fake exit, saying, "Thank you New York." But of course I knew better and waited for the real finale. Then the crowd went while when she came out doing, "We Belong Together." The Performance was amazing, the crowd singing enjoying the show and you could tell Mariah enjoyed performing. This was the last song for the night, she left of releasing thousands of paper butterflies in the air, leaving the Garden Full of Butterflies. As you can see from the picture it was a beautiful scene.
Overall this was a great show from Mariah. Although the guest appearances were too short and their were minor mishaps, the show was very good. Between songs Mariah would talk to the crowd making the audience feel like she is a regular person. It felt like Mariah was a genuine person and really wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed her show. I advise everyone to see the legend, Mariah Carey in concert before its too late. Hopefully Mimi will return to the Garden, "One Sweet Day".
